Sarah Howson and her partner Brendan, admired the National Trust site for many years whilst growing up in Croyde. Then in 2010, when the building and walled garden went to tenure, they had the opportunity to pursue their dreams and opened Sandleigh Tea Room.
Following a career in jewellery design and inspired by her passion for Interior Design, in 2013 Sarah decided to expand their business and launched The Oyster Catcher shop, situated within the grounds of the tea rooms. Today, they lead a dedicated team of staff who share their privilege of working within such beautiful, natural surroundings everyday.
Located on the North Devon coast, within the walled gardens of Sandleigh Tea Rooms in Croyde. The Oyster Catcher is a little hidden treasure, offering unique gifts and beautiful homewares. Along with the work of local designers and artists, our stockists include Nkuku, Taschen Publications, Alex Monroe Jewellery, Bohemia, Wild Planet Organics, Garden Trading, Ib Laursen and Annie Sloan.
